Estate Planning and Administration

Our firm draws upon years of extensive experience in handling virtually all matters related to wills, trusts, and estate planning and administration including:

  • drafting wills and trust agreements (both testamentary and living)
  • drafting provisions for the care of beloved pets, including pet trusts
  • preparing durable general powers of attorney and health care and advance medical directives (living wills)
  • drafting real estate deeds to transfer real property into trust
  • drafting premarital and marital agreements
  • probating wills and representing fiduciaries or acting as personal representatives

In order to recommend the best estate plan to our clients, one of the attorneys will meet and discuss with you your specific situation without charge. Before commencing work, the client will know how much their estate plan will cost, what options they have to avoid or minimize inheritance and estate taxes, how, or whether, to avoid probate, how to avoid guardianships, and how best to title assets, including real property. The firm serves clients with small, modest and large estates. In situations requiring Medicaid planning, Arlington Legal Associates works to help its clients avoid or mitigate the high costs of nursing home care costs.
